Autobiography
I
was born 25th May 1949 in Sokolow Podlaski, where I lived untill 1988.
I started my activity as an instructor in 1964 in the
"Cukrownik" Club in Sokolow Podlaski.
In 1977 - 1979 I was an instructor of Sokolowski Klub Fotograficzny (the
local photography club) in Sokolowski Osrodek Kultury (The Local
Culture Center in Sokolow Podlaski). The Club organized an exhibition
of photography "Sokolow my town" which was seen by about
2500 people in 4 hours (1978).
In the second half of the 70's I took part in the following
photographic courses: "Grodek'77, '78" in Grodek on the
river Bug. In 1979 I took part in that course as a coordinator.
From that year I worked as an instructor of photography in Centrum
Kultury i Sztuki Wojewodztwa Siedleckiego (The Center of Culture and
Art) in Siedlce. Grodek entertained many leading artistic
photographers ZPAF and also members of the photographic group "FACT"
from Warsaw. Grodek continued to be the place for following
photographic courses which at that time I organized for instructors
and amateur photographers of the Siedlce district.
I have been working in Wegrowski Osrodek Kultury (The Center of
Culture in Wegrow) since December 1985. I lead activities in Wegrowski
Klub Fotograficzny (The Photographic Club in Wegrow) and photographic
teams.
During that time I used a photographic technic named izohelia putting
crayon colours - coloured izohelia and computer graphics for my
exhibitions of pictures. Interesting is that in 1989 had place my
first digital works named "Grafika 48KB". It was one of a
first digital graphics in Poland.
I have taken many pictures of Wegrow for 1991. It were used as a
illustrations of Wegrow monography named "Wegrow - dzieje miasta
i okolic w latach 1441-1944" published by Amateurs Society od
Wegrow in 1991.
I
became a creative photographer - a Fellow of the Polish Republic's
Photoclub - on 15th April 1998.
In 1998 I started presenting photography on the Internet. I
established a new website "Fotografika i nie tylko" ("Photography
and more").
On the edge of the ages I decided to enlarge my gallery about Wegrow.
On a new page it was showed as a "Moods of Wegrow" and it
were for three exhibitons forward (2001-2002). Depending on it The
Wegrow Public Library of A.Cieszkowski had published a packet of 13
picture cards titled "Moods of Wegrow".
In 2004 Amateur Society of Wegrow published an album: "Moods of
Wegrow". I present a beauty of Wegrow on 52 pictures. The album
shows my person as a man living there for ages by Roman Postek a
historican.
During the 40 years of my activity as an instructor I organized many
photographic courses and many exhibitions for my pupils. Many of them
continue to be involved in photography, managing photographic shops
and directing university workrooms. They are camera-reporters and
artistic photographers.
From many distinctions which I have received I value most of all the
proof that people have found something for themselves from my artistic
activity, whether from my exhibitions or on the website - thank you
for your letters.
My prestigious distinctions from the government and the club
authorities:
DIPLOMA
OF POLISH PHOTOCLUB - on 26th February during my digital
photography exhibition "Wegrowskie klimaty" ("Moods
of Wegrow") in WOK (Wegrowski Osrodek Kultury), the President
of the Polish Republic's Photoclub, Mieczyslaw Cybulski zdfp,
handed me the Photoclub RP diploma "in acknowledgment of
merits for development of artistic photography",
THE BADGE
- on 2nd May the Cultural and National Heritage RP minister
favoured me with the badge MERITAL ACTIVITIST OF CULTURE,
DIPLOMA - on 26th May the Mayor of Sokolow Podlaski town handed me
a diploma and I won the first prize in a contest of the local
portal sokolowpodl.pl "The Best Websites of Sokolow".

THE MEDAL
On 12th december 2003 at Culture of Photography Fundation Building
"FdP" in Warsaw, President of POLISH REPUBLIC'S
PHOTOCLUB ASSOCIATION OF AUTHORS Mieczyslaw Cybulski AFRP zdfp has
honoured me by a silver medal FRP "Well-deserved for a Polish
Photography" awarded by The Board of Polish Photoclub which
is conducted by Juliusz Garztecki, the President.
THE BADGE OF MERITS FOR WEGROW
on 8th August 2004 during a special session of a City Council I
was distinguished of the badge of "Merit for Wegrow".
I acknowledge with thanks the honours received and I invite you to
my website. There I present about 2000 of my works from my 39
exhibitions of my work and pictures presented only on this website.
